Police pursuit ends with Abilene suspect in custody

ABILENE, Texas - A police pursuit in north Abilene ended Friday with a suspect in custody.

Police pursued Martin Estrada, 28, after being tipped off that a man wanted for a shooting at residence on South Pioneer Drive would be arriving at an Abilene home.

The pursuit, with Estrada reportedly in a stolen vehicle, proceeded on Clinton Street, near Hardin-Simmons University, on Old Anson Road and on Winters Freeway before Estrada exited on North 10th Street.

Estrada was eventually caught at Trinity Park Homes at North 10th and Clack streets after he ditched a stolen vehicle and fled on foot.

Estrada had a warrant out for this arrest on a meth charge.

KTXS will provide additional details as they become available.
