Truck crashes, leaks natural gas, closes Hwy 206 between Burkett, Cross Plains
A 6-mile stretch of Highway 206 between Burkett and Cross Plains was closed for about seven hours Friday because of a wreck and gas leak.BURKETT, Texas -
The Texas Department of Public Safety says a truck towing a semi-trailer hydroplaned and jackknifed around Noon.
The truck -- fueled by compressed natural gas -- hit an embankment, causing the fuel tank to leak.
The truck driver was not hurt in the crash.
Hwy 206 from FM 2707 to Hwy 279 reopened about 7 p.m.
