ABILENE, Texas - A welding truck caught fire while the owner was working at a Taylor County landscaping company Tuesday afternoon.
A plume of black smoke could be seen in the sky south of Abilene, with the fire originating near MasterScapes in the 300 block of Bacacita Farms Road. (PHOTOS)
Members of the Potosi Volunteer Fire Department, the Buffalo Gap Volunteer Fire Department, and the Taylor County Sheriff's Office joined nearby residents to extinguish the flames.
No one was injured from the fire, but the truck owner said he had chest pains after the flames were put out. The truck was not owned by MasterScapes.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
