2 arrested in connection with shooting at south Abilene 7-Eleven

Police have arrested two people in connection with a shooting Monday night at a 7-11 in south Abilene.

Antwon Lamar Ellis, 24, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. His bond was set at $40,000.

Jeremy Korbaryl Swann, 29, is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and theft of a firearm. His bond was set at $15,000.

Swann told police the gun used in the shooting was his.

Police say Ellis shot the victim, a 22-year-old male, in the arm about 9:20 p.m. during an argument outside the 7-11 at South 7th and South Clack streets.

Ellis was later arrested at his home in the 2000 block of Park Avenue.

It's against the law for Swann to have a gun because he was previously convicted of a crime. The gun was also listed as stolen.
