2 current ACU football players, 1 former player accused of gang raping female student

Two current Abilene Christian University football players and one former ACU football player are accused of gang raping a female student.

A source told KTXS that the victim was hanging out with one of the suspects at a party on Nov. 30.

After the party, she thought he was going to take her home.

Instead, another suspect drove all of them to his house on East North 21st Street.

That is when the third suspect was invited over to the house and all three allegedly gang raped the victim.

According to the source, the victim reported the rape to ACU Police Department on Dec. 14.

Five weeks later, no arrests have been made.

The rape is being investigated by both the ACU police and the Abilene Police Department.

"Any time there are allegations like this made, we do investigate them fully, but we are not able to discuss the specifics of any investigation," said ACU Police Chief Jimmy Ellison.

The ACU Athletics Department would not comment on the status of the two current football players.

ACU Associate Athletic Director for Media Relations Lance Fleming said that any statement on the situation would have to come from the university itself and not the athletics department.
