ABILENE, Texas — A fifth person was arrested Thursday in connection with an early morning drive-by shooting.
Abilene police arrested 17-year-old Fabian Renee Rodriguez and charged him with deadly conduct. His bond was set at $100,000.
According to court documents filed Tuesday, three suspects say Rodriguez fired shots at a home in the 800 block of Carver Street on Jan. 30.
Later that day, police arrested Sierra Cortez Bernal, 22, Ananda Leal, 19, Antonio Hagans, 18, and Antonio Rogers, 21, in that drive-by shooting.
A 70-year-old woman who lives at the home told police that she heard a loud bang just after midnight.
She found two bullets had gone through the front door and the glass on her storm door was broken.
"Some of the shots came into the upper part of her living room walls," according to the document.
Police say Bernal told them that she got into a car with two people to shoot up a house on a street that "starts with C."
She said they followed another car with Rodriguez and Leal in it.
Bernal said she saw Rodriguez shoot first.
According to police, Leal, Hagans and Rogers all confessed to participating in the drive-by shooting and that Rodriguez fired shots at the home with a rifle.
