Savage has been on the city council since 2015.

He said he's proud of the work he's accomplished during that time.

The other seat that will be up for grabs in May is Place 5.

Councilman Kyle McAlister has not announced whether he will run for another term.

The election is May 4, 2019.

Candidates can start filing as early as Jan 16.

The filing deadline is Feb 15.
