ABILENE, Texas — Big Country CASA hired a new executive director Wednesday.
The new executive director, Gary Douglass, earned his bachelor's degree from Abilene Christian University and a master’s degree from West Texas A&M University.
Douglass will be replacing Angela Sharp. Sharp started with Big Country CASA in September of 2015, and resigned in December following her husband's resignation from the Abilene DCOA. The couple will be relocating to Sherman, TX.
"Big Country CASA is so grateful to our previous Executive Director, Angela Sharp, for assisting us this spring as we transition to new leadership. While Angela will be greatly missed here in Abilene, the Board feels confident that this next chapter in CASA’s future will be in great hands," Carolyn Beckham stated.
Douglass will begin working with Big Country CASA on Monday, March 18.
