Baltasar Manuel Navejas (Taylor County Jail)

Abilene police say a burglar holding a hatchet kicked down the door of an apartment.

About 11:30 p.m. Monday, police were called to 670 N. Pioneer Drive.

They say Baltasar Manuel Navejas, 34, kicked in the front door and threatened the people who lived there with a hatchet.

Navejas was gone when police arrived and they were unable to locate him in the area.

Police say Navejas came back on Tuesday "and was causing another disturbance."

But he once again keft before police arrived.

An officer found him at the 7-Eleven in the 400 block of S. Pioneer Drive.

Navejas was charged with burglary.

His bond was set at $30,000.
