Congressman Jodey Arrington introduces term limit legislation for U.S. Congress
ABILENE, Texas —
Congressman Jodey Arrington introduced a constitutional amendment on Thursday that would limit the number of terms that a member of Congress can serve.
KTXS News spoke with Congressman Arrington via Skype on Thursday afternoon.
Congressman Arrington, along with a bipartisan group of five other freshman congressmen, introduced the legislation to Congress.
The new legislation being proposed would limit Congressional terms to 12 years in both chambers of Congress, which would equate to a maximum of two six-year terms for senators and six two-year terms for representatives.
KTXS News also spoke with Congressman Arrington about the Iran nuclear deal, President Donald Trump's meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un next month in Singapore and an update on the Farm Bill.
