Indicted: Southeast Texas man extradited to Abilene for gruesome 2004 murder
ABILENE, Texas —
A Southeast Texas man was indicted on Thursday by a Taylor County grand jury for the murder of an Abilene man in 2004.
Kenneth Dean Pounds, 54, of Friendswood, was arrested in Friendswood back in March, which is southeast of Houston.
Pounds was extradited to Abilene the following day and taken to the Taylor County Jail.
According to a court document, Pounds is accused of cutting Garrett D. McMahan's neck on October 8, 2004 "to put him out of his misery."
