ABILENE, Texas — A Taylor County grand jury indicted an Abilene man accused of threatening to kill a woman and then raping her.
According to the indictment, Freddie Dewayne Simpkins, 39, lured the victim to his house in September with a fake story about his kid being hurt.
Police say Simpkins then pulled out a knife, held it to her throat and told her he would kill her.
He threatened to stab her and slash her throat, according to the indictment.
Police say Simpkins then forced the victim into a back room and raped her.
Simpkins claimed the sex was consensual.
He's being held on $100,000 bond.
