KTXS Forecast: Lingering rain chances ahead of fast weekend warm up

Good morning! As you’re getting up conditions outside will be mostly clear to partly cloudy with lows in the low/ mid-70s. Winds will be from the south/ southeast at 5-10 mph with isolated shower chances through the morning commute.

Thursday afternoon will see highs remain mainly in the mid-90s. Skies will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy with winds from the south/ southeast at 5-10 mph and there will be a 20 percent chance of scattered thundershowers this afternoon. Thursday night the rain chances will remain and lows will cool to the low/ mid-70s.

For Friday, skies will remain mostly sunny to partly cloudy with highs a bit warmer in the mid/ upper 90s. Winds will still be from the southeast at 5-10 mph with a lingering 10-20 percent chance of scattered thundershowers. Friday night the rain chances should start to move out, skies will start to clear and lows will cool to the mid-70s.

Into the weekend, for both Saturday and Sunday, it looks like the Big Country will finally clear out and become mostly sunny. Highs will be above normal in the mid/ upper 90s with winds from the south at 5-10 mph. Overnight lows will cool to the low/ mid-70s with mostly clear conditions.

Currently for Monday through Wednesday, it looks like the region will be sunny with highs in the upper 90s/ low 100s and we’ll have southerly winds at 5-15 mph. Lows through this period are expected to be in the mid-70s with mostly clear conditions.
