ABILENE, Texas — A lock down was lifted at Dyess Air Force Base Wednesday afternoon following a false report of an active shooter.
"At approximately 1:30 p.m., the 7th Security Forces Squadron responded to an incident at the 7th Medical Group."
According to Dyess, "the situation has been controlled and the base is no longer locked down."
Dyess said there was no active shooter.
The incident is currently under investigation.
