ABILENE, Texas — The Abilene Fire Department said a small house fire in south Abilene was intentionally set.
At 8:25 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters responded to a home in the 1100 block of Jeanette Street.
They found a small fire in a bedroom and quickly put it out.
The fire caused an estimated $5,000 in damage.
One resident was displaced and received assistance from the American Red Cross.
The cause of the fire has been ruled as arson.
