Teen arrested for 7 convenience store robberies, Abilene police looking for 2nd suspect

Abilene police have arrested a teenager in connection with a string of convenience store robberies and are looking for a second suspect.

Police arrested Kariem Alejandro Quickel, 17, on Friday.

Quickel and a second suspect robbed seven convenience stores over a five day span, stealing money and/or cigarettes, according to police.

Quickel is charged with three counts of aggravated robbery, resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of marijuana.

He's being held in the Taylor County Jail on bonds totaling $608,430.
