ABILENE, Texas — A new school opened its doors in Abilene on Wednesday.
Texas State Technical College showed off its new Industrial Technology Center next to Abilene Regional Airport.
TSTC offered a tour of the new state-of-the-art facility that the community helped to build.
"We used tuition revenue bonds, and then, the community of Abilene, several of the foundations, along with the DCOA, contributed additional funds to help us construct this building," said Rick Denbow, the Provost for TSTC. "So, we're really excited about the opportunity."
Students will be able to study four educational programs at the facility, which include EMS, welding, electrical power control and industrial maintenance.
If anybody is interested in attending classes at the Industrial Technology Center, TSTC still has scholarships available for the upcoming school year.
