COMANCHE COUNTY, Texas — Two people are dead and four others injured after a crash between a pair of SUV's in rural Comanche County.
Slightly after 1:30 a.m. Friday, a 1997 Ford Explorer traveling southeast on Highway 6 crossed into oncoming traffic about five miles southeast of De Leon and struck a 2018 Ford Flex head-on.
According to the Department of Public Safety, the driver of the Explorer -- Leigha Skye Pringle, 24, of Dublin -- and one of the passengers in the Flex -- Diane Kemp Webster, 62, of Richmond -- were killed in the crash and pronounced dead at the scene.
EDITOR'S NOTE: DPS initially said a 5-year-old boy was also killed in the crash. They have since corrected the information and said the little boy survived.
The driver of the Flex, Willie Earl Webster, 63, of Richmond, suffered severe injuries and was transported to Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth.
Another one of the passengers in the Flex, Craig Hall, 12, of Richmond, also had critical injuries and was taken to Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth.
The remaining two passengers in the Flex, Zakiyah Bailey, 15, of Richmond, and Miliyah Bailey, 6, of Richmond, suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to Comanche Hospital in Comanche.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
