Cloudy skies Tuesday slow the warming trend

Nice sunshine warmed temperatures back into the 50s for most of our area Monday afternoon. Low clouds are forecast to move back in late Monday night and bring us a mostly cloudy sky for Tuesday.

Look for increasing clouds Monday night. Low temperatures Tuesday morning should be in the low to middle 30s.

Mostly cloudy skies are expected to stay with us all day Tuesday. High temperatures will struggle to reach 50.

We are tracking a chance for light showers for mainly the Heartland Tuesday night. The entire area should remain cloudy. Low temperatures Wednesday morning should be in the middle to upper 40s.

Fresh southwest winds should bring clearing skies and warm temperatures back to our region by Wednesday afternoon. High temperatures are expected to warm into the 70s.

Even warmer afternoon temperatures are forecast for Thursday afternoon. High temperatures may reach the lower 80s.

A strong cold front is forecast to move in early Friday and bring back chilly readings for Friday and Saturday.

We are finally tracking a good chance for needed rain in our area for Friday and Saturday. We could see a wintry mix for Saturday morning with temperatures around freezing.

We should be back to mostly dry weather with high temperatures in the 60s Sunday and Monday.
