CLYDE, Texas — Three people have been arrested in connection with a skimming operation Callahan County while a fourth suspect remains on the run.
Thursday night, an employee at Thrifty’s Food Mart called police after seeing two men tampering with a pump.
The suspects ran when police arrived.
Police found "suspected credit card skimming devices" in their car.
Miakel L. Rodriguez, 35, the suspect wearing the blue shirt that says "Gone Surfing," was arrested Friday along with two others.
The Callahan County Sheriff's Office believes the suspects are from Cuba.
A fourth suspect was last seen approximately 12 miles south of Clyde.
Tracking dogs from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and officers on horseback searched for him Friday. But that search has been called off.
If anyone sees the fourth suspect, they are asked to call 911.
The sheriff's office says Rodriguez and the fourth suspect were directly involved in the skimming operation. Perez-Dela Rosa and Lopez assisted the skimmers and gave false information to police.
The Texas Department of Public Safety, the Callahan County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Border Patrol are also involved in the investigation.
