Coleman ISD has selected their district's next superintendent
COLEMAN, Texas —
Students in Coleman will soon have a new leader for their school district.
Brandon McDowell was named as the lone finalist for superintendent, according to a media release on the Coleman Independent School District's website.
Coleman's Board of Trustees voted unanimously on Monday in favor of hiring McDowell and he will be official hired during the school district's next board meeting on July 16.
McDowell is coming over from Loraine ISD, where he is currently serving as that district's superintendent.
The position at Coleman became open in March when the previous superintendent resigned because of conflicts with the school board, according to the interim superintendent at Coleman ISD.
