Indicted: Abilene woman starts fire in hospital after arrest for forgery, meth
ABILENE, Texas —
A Taylor County Grand Jury indicted an Abilene woman Thursday on multiple charges.
Rashell Diane Preslar is charged with unlawful possession of firearm by a felon, forgery and arson.
Police contacted Preslar on a search warrant and they said she confessed to passing two forged checks at a bank in Abilene.
Police said they found a small amount of meth and a rifle in her possession. Preslar has a felony conviction from 2016 prohibiting her from owning a firearm. Preslar is also accused of starting a fire in a bathroom at Hendrick Medical Center.
