Merkel police looking for armed robbery suspect who's possibly missing part of a pinky


    Merkel police are asking for your help to find an armed robbery suspect who may be missing part of his pinky.

    Police say a masked man walked up to a car Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of North 2nd and El Paso streets and pulled out a gun.

    Police say the suspect took "a significant amount of money” from the victim.

    The victim described the suspect as a male, possibly Hispanic or a Caucasian with a darker complexion, with “bright” blue eyes.

    He is approximately 6’ tall, 170 pounds.

    Police say the suspect may be missing part of his pinky. But they don't know on which hand.

    He was wearing light colored blue jeans, a dark or black hoodie, and white shoes.
