Oklahoma City woman arrested for allegedly boating while drunk on Lake Brownwood

Jaimie Ailene Lippoldt

Texas Game Wardens arrested a woman from Oklahoma City on Lake Brownwood over the weekend for reportedly driving a boat while drunk.

Jaimie Ailene Lippoldt, 29, of Oklahoma City, was taken to the Brown County Jail on Saturday after a water safety investigation discovered that she was operating a boat while drunk, according to a Texas Game Warden.

The Texas Game Warden told KTXS News that he initially stopped Lippoldt's boat for not having "proper lighting after sunset."

The Texas Game Warden said that an investigation revealed that Lippoldt was intoxicated and was ordered to return the boat to shore, where she was subsequently placed under arrest.

Lippoldt bonded out of jail on Sunday, according to Brown County Jail records.

In Texas, a water vessel can be stopped for a water safety investigation, according to the game warden, and it is the only probable cause that law enforcement officers need to pull over a watercraft.
