Ranger man drowns at Lake Leon on the 4th of July

A Ranger man drowned Wednesday at Lake Leon.

The Eastland County Sheriff’s Office said the a 58-year-old man, who has not been identified, was last seen around 4:10 p.m.

Bystanders saw him floating in the water around 6:30 p.m. They pulled him out and attempted CPR, but were unable to revive him.

The body was sent to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.

The sheriff’s office is trying to identify the victim's next of kin.
