Tye Police Department arrests McKinney man with $23,000 worth of meth
TYE, Texas —
A man from the DFW Metroplex is in the Taylor County Jail for possessing 290 grams of methamphetamine, according to the Tye Police Department.
David Arnold, 40, of McKinney, was arrested and charged with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance for having $23,000 worth of meth, according to Tye Police Chief Jay Strong.
Strong said that a police officer went up to Arnold's vehicle on Saturday a little before 7 a.m. because "he was parked in the middle of the roadway."
The arrest happened along Farris Road, right where Tye’s city limits end, according to Strong and Arnold appeared to be driving north toward Jones County.
Strong praised his officers for being vigilant in making the arrest and getting a large amount of dangerous drugs off of the street.
