Wednesday storms bring damaging winds

A line of strong thunderstorms swept through the Big Country Wednesday afternoon and brought very strong wind gusts and some small hail.

A funnel cloud was reported near Tye and Putnum.

In Snyder, a tin roof was blown off a business, a couple of trees were blown down, and an 18-wheeler was blown over on Highway 84 about 15 miles south of Snyder.

KTXS received a picture of metal roofs blown into the street in Rotan.
