Winter Weather Advisory Saturday night

Winter WX.png

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Saturday night through Sunday morning for mainly the southeast 1/3 of our area. Icy spots could develop on mainly bridges and overpasses.

Cloudy skies returned with the cold front Saturday morning. Temperatures quickly dropped into the middle 20s throughout the Big Country. Cloudy skies are forecast to linger over much of our area for the whole day Saturday. Afternoon temperatures will try to warm back into the 30s if we get some late day sunshine. North winds will continue at 15-20 mph.

Light rain is forecast to develop in our area late Saturday evening and Sunday morning. As temperatures should be below freezing Saturday night, this rain may create ice on objects mainly above the ground - including bridges and overpasses before sunrise Sunday. Low temperatures Sunday should be in the middle 20s.

This light freezing drizzle is forecast to move south of our area before noon Sunday. Look for clearing skies from north to south during the afternoon. High temperatures Sunday will still be cold and may only reach 40.

Clear skies are forecast for us Sunday night. Low temperatures Monday morning should be back into the middle 20s.

Mostly sunny skies are expected for Monday. High temperatures should warm back into the middle 50s.

Milder temperatures with mostly cloudy skies should be with us Tuesday and Wednesday. Afternoon readings should be in the lower 60s Tuesday and near 70 Wednesday. We are looking at a decent chance for rain Friday.
