Brownwood Kroger closes its doors after 40 years
BROWNWOOD, Texas —
Customers bagged their last groceries at a Brownwood fixture Friday morning as they said goodbye to their city's longtime Kroger location.
The grocery store closed its doors for good at 9:30 Friday morning after 40 years of operation at North Main Street.
Kroger's corporate office announced in January that they were closing their company's Brownwood location due to having weak sales there.
The closure of Kroger in Brownwood affects 61 employees from the store.
