BROWN COUNTY, Texas -- A 25-year-old Brownwood man remains in jail after he was arrested at a hospital over the weekend for threatening to kill a nurse and officers.

Pedro Alonzo was charged with terroristic threat against a peace officer, according to the Brownwood Police Department's incident report released Monday.

At 10 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to Brownwood Regional Medical Center to a call of a patient pacing back and forth and showing suicidal behavior.

According to the police report, Alonzo took up a fighting stance after he left the exam room "in a threatening manner toward officers." The 25-year-old also threatened officers with bodily harm and death.

Alonzo was arrested and remains locked up on a $5,000 bond, according to Brown County Jail records.
