Brownwood police searching for armed, dangerous fugitive

Brownwood police are searching for an armed and dangerous fugitive.

Luis Rivera Cintron, 33, is wanted for sexual assault of a child.

Around 10 a.m. Saturday, police were called to an apartment complex in the 2100 block of Morris Sheppard Drive where they say Cintron -- who was armed with a handgun -- had threatened family members.

When officers arrived they spotted Cintron walking along the 4200 block of Hwy 377.

They say he ran and jumped into a creek.

Cintron was last seen in the area of County Road 235 and County Road 234, south of Brownwood.

Cintron was wearing a grey hooded jacket, black shirt, and black shorts.

Cintron is approximately 5’ 2”, 175 lbs. and has short black hair.

He has numerous tattoos on his chest, back and head.

Cintron is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts should call 911.
