City of Early reports nearly double the amount of sales tax collection for September

The City of Early's economy continues to stay red hot.
According to the City of Early, it has collected a nearly 49 percent increase in sales tax payments this September compared to the same time last year.
Sales tax is generated by the purchases that are made at retail locations or restaurants.
The Texas Comptroller's Office is responsible for distributing sales tax collections to municipal governments.
There has been a 7 percent increase this fiscal year for the City of Early in sales tax collection compared to the last fiscal year, according to the city's data.
