Luis Rivera Cintron (Brown County Jail)

An Early man was sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty to sexual assault of a child.

Luis Rivera Cintron, 33, sexually assaulted a male relative in October after feeding him methamphetamine for hours.

Cintron confessed to the crime but claimed the victim came onto him.

Police arrested Cintron in October after a two day manhunt.

Before sentencing, the judge reviewed Cintron's criminal history which included a conviction for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in 2003, assault family violence and multiple misdemeanor arrests.

Early police arrested Cintron in January 2018 for display of harmful material to a minor.

Police say he showed a 14-year-old girl pornography on the way to school and then tried to get the teen to have sex with him.
