Brown County suspect admits to jail staff that she had cocaine hidden in bra
Brownwood, Texas —
A woman arrested on drug and gun charges near a Brownwood elementary school admitted to jail guards she’d been hiding cocaine inside her bra, according to a police report.
Tiffany Herrera, 23, was arrested Saturday around midnight at the 7/11 parking lot at 4th Street and Coggin Avenue, near Woodland Heights Elementary.
According to a report from the Brownwood Police Department, an officer smelled a strong order of marijuana coming from Herrera's vehicle. The 23-year-old told police there was some marijuana by the car’s passenger seat and that she also had some in a Ziploc bag.
After Herrera was placed in handcuffs, an officer found a pistol inside her purse in a weapon-free zone.
But once she arrived in jail, police said Herrera told the Brown County Jail staff she was carrying cocaine in her bra.
Herrera was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful carrying of a weapon, and prohibited substance in a correctional facility.
She bonded out of jail Saturday, according to Brown County Jail records.
