Multiple suspects arrested during organized crime investigation in Sweetwater

SWEETWATER, Texas — Multiple individuals were arrested for their involvement in an organized crime operation.

According to an arrest report, in December of 2022 Sweetwater police responded to theft at a Tractor Supply store. Further investigation revealed that several suspects had committed many thefts at this location, as well as other locations across Texas.

Officials believe tools were being sold, traded, and pawned.

In February of 2023, officials recovered between $60,000 and $100,000 in property, including three firearms-- one of which was reported stolen.

The suspects have been listed below:

• Troy Jennings, 53, Fail to Comply with Sex Offender’s Duty to Register, Third-Degree Felony
• Ira Mavin Dickey, 72, Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, Third-Degree Felony
• Krystel Magee, 39, Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, Third-Degree Felony
• Johnny Lee Wells, 54, Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, Third-Degree Felony
• Jay Lebretton, 30, Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, Third-Degree Felony

Additional arrests are anticipated.
