San Angelo police arrest suspected porch pirate

SAN ANGELO, Texas — The San Angelo Police Department has arrested a suspected porch pirate.

According to a press release, Donald Hubbard, 43, was charged with mail theft after he was caught on a homeowner's security camera taking packages on November 25th.

The incident occurred in the 2800 Block of Freeland. Hubbard also received an additional controlled substance charge. The police department wants to highlight the value of installing crime prevention devices like the Ring doorbell and security cameras for these types of situations.

Hubbard was given a bond of $37,500.
