Ex-staff member at Abilene child shelter indicted on 2 counts of sexual assault of a child

    A former staff member at an Abilene shelter for children was indicted on two counts of sexual assault of a child by a Taylor County grand jury on Thursday.

    Samantha Almager, 27, of Winters, is accused of having a sexual relationship with one of the kids who was placed at the shelter by Child Protective Services.

    According to court documents, Almager was working at Harmony Family Services in Abilene when she was accused of having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl that was staying there.

    Almager was arrested back in November and is being held on $35,000 bond at the Taylor County Jail.
