ABILENE, Texas — Two people were critically injured in a 3-vehicle crash on East Hwy 80 in Abilene.
According to police, Gary Bradley, 30, of Roscoe was headed west on Hwy 80. Around 5 p.m. Sunday, he crossed both eastbound lanes, hit the guardrail and then collided with a Toyota Tundra, just east of Loop 322.
The Tundra was then hit by a Honda Odyssey.
The F-150 continued westbound into the grassy area on the south side of the road and rolled over, ejecting Bradley who police said was not wearing a seat belt.
Bradley and a passenger in the Tundra, June Byrd, 58, of Abilene, were taken to Hendrick Medical Center and later care-flighted to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.
Police said Bradley suffered severe head injuries and Byrd suffered a severe injury to her right arm.
That section of Hwy 80 was closed for more than four hours.
