The Shackelford County Sheriff's office is looking for new information about an attempted murder suspect.

Andrew Yahseph Hawkins was indicted by a grand jury in August for assaulting a woman. He was indicted on one count of attempted murder and one count assault family violence.

According to Sheriff Edward Miller, the department believes that Hawkins' friends and family have been helping him evade arrest. The sheriff's office has info that a friend gave him a ride to Clyde Sunday night.

The Clyde Police Department has been informed that he may be within city limits.

Hawkins has previously been seen in Eastland, Ranger and San Antonio.

According to Miller, Hawkins has been in prison for burglary, evading arrest, and parole violation. He is an "unstable individual."

Sheriff Miller advises citizens to contact the Shackelford County Sheriff's Office at 325-762-2000 if they see or know the location of this individual.

As stated on the Shackelford County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, "Persons found to be harboring or helping to hinder apprehension of this fugitive may also face prosecution."
