The City of Tye is asking for your help to put a stop to illegal dumping.

Police Chief Jay Strong said people are using City parks and roads around town as "dumping grounds for their trash, box(es) and furniture."

"This might not seem like a big deal, but the city has spent a lot of tax dollars to improve and clean up these areas," said Strong. "We will catch those who are doing this and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law."

In one recent case, the suspect left their children’s report cards behind. The City gave them an "F" for fine.

"Please, if you see something, say something!" Strong said. "This needs to stop now!"
