Coleman County opens new Law Enforcement Center for first time in 129 years

After 129 years, Coleman County has a new jail and Law Enforcement Center.

This new building will house the Sheriff's Department, the 911 communications center, an office for the Texas Rangers, Texas Game Wardens and DPS.

The new jail contains 48 beds with updated security cameras.

Sheriff Les Cogdill said instead of having inmates scattered in jails across the Big Country, they will now all be in one location.

The new Law Enforcement Center is located at 965 US Hwy 283 North.
