Crunch Fitness in Abilene at 4709 South 14th street opened up a warming center for the community. Crunch General Manager Ashley Williamson said the warming center opened up at 12:30 Wednesday afternoon. They are offering free food, water, showers, and warmth for anyone who needs it.
"We have been overwhelmed by the amount of public support we have been getting from the community. Many businesses have donated food, money, and water to help out people struggling during this difficult time," said Williamson.
Crunch said they served over 800 people Wednesday. They will be holding a lunch Thursday open to the public.
Crunch Fitness is open 24 hours.
