ABILENE, Texas — First National Bank–Albany/Breckenridge broke ground Thursday on a new branch in Abilene, located at the corner of Merion Street and Buffalo Gap Road.
“We are extremely pleased with the response we have had in Abilene and are excited to break ground on a permanent location,” said Stephen Jones, a member of the bank’s board of directors.
First National Bank is a $600 million bank locally owned and headquartered in Albany.
The new 9,030 square-foot office is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2020.
Until then, the bank will continue operating from the Triad Building at 1500 Industrial Blvd.
