ABILENE, Texas — One Wylie High School student is thinking ahead to Easter in a creative way to pay for her senior trip.
“I needed money for a senior trip that I’m going on this summer and I thought what better way than to help out parents of Abilene and take something off their hands and decorate their yard with eggs,” Jayden Evans said.
The eggs Evans will hide in yards will be filled with treats and prizes. She will also hide special golden eggs filled with money and prizes.
“I like to have candy in the eggs,” Evans said. “I feel like that’s something kids also enjoy, opening them and getting the candy and prizes inside.”
The senior says all funds made from decorating yards for Easter will go towards her senior trip to Port Aransas before heading to college.
“It means a lot to me to go on this trip, the senior said. “Just to be able to spend time with my high school friends for one last time before we part ways.”
