Junior League of Abilene prepares hygiene kits for students
ABILENE, Texas —
Over 6,000 students enrolled in the Abilene Independent School District will receive hygiene kits from the Junior League of Abilene.
Junior League of Abilene volunteered their Saturday morning to make these kits for their “Suds Buds” initiative.
The League prepared kits with toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, soap, and several other items.
These kits will be given to students attending Title I schools in our region.
They formed an assembly line at the Food Bank of West Central Texas on North 1st Street from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The League will also give each school detergent and lice kits to be distributed to students and families as needed.
