Lambert easily cruises to second term in the Texas House of Representatives
ABILENE, Texas —
Incumbent Republican Stan Lambert practically floated on his way to winning a second term representing District 71 in the Texas House of Representatives.
With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Lambert has captured 78 percent of the vote, compared to 22 percent for Democratic challenger Sam Hatton.
Lambert, a former member of the Abilene ISD board of trustees, has represented District 71 in the Texas House of Representatives since 2017 and Hatton is a local business owner and activist.
