Arrest made in 'CHS' shooting threat

ABILENE, Texas — An arrest has been made in a shooting threat that circulated around social media over the weekend, which caused concern for Cooper High School parents.

The threats found on social media were made towards "CHS." Abilene police were notified and promptly investigated.

According to their Facebook page, police now say the threat originated in Clovis, New Mexico.

Even though the threat was not specific to Cooper High School, more officers will be seen on campus Monday to "provide a greater sense of Safety and Security for the students, staff and parents."
