San Angelo police: Suspect accidentally shoots man, hides gun, lies about seeing gunman

A San Angelo man is charged with manslaughter in a deadly shooting.

According to police,Nathan Blake Gonzalez, 20, shot and killedCarlos Galvan, 18.

Around 2:20 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a call of shots fired at 212 Koberlin Street.

They found Galvan with a gunshot wound to the torso.

Galvan was transported to Shannon Medical Center where he was pronounced dead shortly after.

Gonzalez, who called 911, claimed he saw a suspect leaving the scene before police arrived.

Detectives discovered Gonzalez accidentally shot Galvan, hid the weapon, and lied about seeing a suspect flee.
