5 test positive for coronavirus after attending youth event in Brownwood

BROWNWOOD, Texas — The Brown County Health Department is reporting five positive COVID-19 cases after a youth event that took place over the weekend.

The event, Unmasked Camp 2020, was held at Heartland Church Aug. 14-16.

"At this point there has been four youth that have tested positive for COVID-19," said Jason Studdard in a Facebook Live on the church's page.

Two other children are sick as well -- one with strep throat and the other with the flu.

"We have one adult that has tested positive for COVID-19."

Students and adults who attended this event should closely monitor symptoms.
