Taylor County: 194 new COVID-19 cases, 2,149 active cases

ABILENE, Texas — The Abilene-Taylor County Health District reported 194 new cases of COVID-19 (100 PCR, 94 Antigen) on Saturday.

That is the second highest one-day total on record.

(NOTE -- One-day record: 256 cases on Aug. 22. Most of those were inmates at the Taylor County Jail)

The number of active cases is 2,149 with 61 of those in the hospital.

Further information about hospitalizations is not available because Hendrick Medical Center's computer system is down due to a security threat.
